The Grammy’s are here!

It’s almost time to start and I will be here with you live constantly updating! For now check out some of the celeb styles on the red carpet by following the link below.

To start off the 53rd annual Grammy Awards Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch, Yolanda Adams, and  Martina Mcbride join together in a collaboration to honor Aretha Franklin in a powerful performance. Great opening act!

The first award of the night is for Pop Duo or groups. 
The nominees are:
 Glee: Don’t Stop Believin’
 Maroon: Misery
 Paramore: The Only Exception
Sade: Babyfather
Train: Hey, Soul Sister
And the winner is……Train with Hey, Soul Sister. They thanked many including Justin Beiber for not being a Duo or Group =)

Lady Gaga is finally ready to come out of her egg and perform her new song for the first time Born this way. The performance was pretty typical but a bit unusual for her with backup dancers and a synchronised dance, when all off a sudden her backup dancers got naked? It’s cool they are embracing their bodies, they were born this way!

Miranda Lambert with the third performance of the night singing The House That Built Me. A simple performance but very touching.

Lenny Kravitz got up on stage to introduce Muse performing Uprising. They got the audience pumped up with backup dancers on stage running around with torches. Plus, who doesn’t like to rock out?

 Ryan Secrest introduces three new artists’ Bruno Mars, B.O.B. and Jenelle Monae to come together on stage performing some of their hits within the past year and with a new twist.







The 8 o’clock hour…

Dierks Bentley and Zac Brown present the award for Best Female Vocal Country Performer.
The Nominees are:
Jewel: “Satisfied”
Miranda Lambert: “The House That Built Me”
LeAnn Rimes: “Swingin'”
Carrie Underwood: “Temporary Home”
Gretchen Wilson: “I’d love to be Your Last”
And the winner is………Miranda Lambert with “The House That Built Me”. Great job Miranda!

Eva Longoria introduces the long-awaited performance by Justin Beiber and Usher. Justin Beiber starts out with an acoustic version of “Baby”. The dynamic duo pump it up with ninja drummers moving into more JB songs and a surprise appearance by Jaden Smith helping Justin out with “Never Say Never”. What else can you say but “OMG” Usher never fails to impress in his performances. The ending of their performance was great with a little duo dancing.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: Mojo
Neil Young: Le Noise
And the Grammy goes to……….Muse!

Donny Walberg and Selena Gomez take the stage to present the award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The nominees are:
Justin Beiber: My World 2.0
Susan Boyle: I Dreamed a Dream
Lady Gaga: Fame Monster
John Mayer: Battle Studies
Katy Perry: Teenage Dream
And the winner is Lady Gaga with Fame Monster. Way to go Gaga!

A performance with Bob Dylan, Mumford & Sons and Avett Brothers to salute acoustic music. Made me feel like I was in an old Irish Pub, had the harmonica, banjo and foot tappin’ goin on too.

Lea Michele and  Clay Matthews get up on stage to introduce Lady Antebellum singing some album favorites.

Kings of Leon and Miley Cyrus come on stage to present the award for Best Country Album.
The Nominees are:
Dierks Bentley: Up on the Ridge
Zac Brown Band: You Get What you Give
Jamey Johnson: The Guitar Song
Lady Antebellum: Need You Now
Miranda Lambert: Revolution
And the winner is……Lady Antebellum!

Jamie Foxx introducing Cee Lo Green with “Forget You”. A colorful performance with dancing puppets and Cee Lo looking like a vegas show girl! Gwyneth Paltrow shows off her singing talents and accompanies Cee Lo Green in a pretty fun performance.

Neil Patrick Harris introduces Katy Perry in her performance of a few favorites. She was lifted up on a swing showing off the biggest vail I have ever seen. But what is a Katy Perry performance without some dancing?

The 9 o’clock hour…

Nora JonesJohn Mayer and Keith Urban perform a short acoustic version of Jolene by Dolly Parton before  giving the Grammy for Song of the Year.
The Nominees are:
Beg, Steal or Borrow performed by Ray Lamontagne
Forget You performed by Cee Lo Green
The House That Built Me performed by Miranda Lambert
Love the Way You Lie performed by Eminem and Rihanna
Need You Now performed by Lady Antebellum
And the winner is……………….Need you now performed by Lady Antebellum!

Seth Rogan introduced Rihanna and Eminem‘s performance. A slow start with Rihanna in a big poofy dress but slowly built up leading to Eminem spittin lyrics like no other! Dr. Dre stopped in to help out definitely a powerful performance!

Jewel and John Legend take the stage to announce the nominees for Best new artist.
And the Nominees are:
Justin Beiber
Florence & The Machine
Mumford & Sons
Esperanza Spalding
And the winner is…………..Esperanza Spalding! Although personally I have never heard her music, maybe I will now.

Mick Jagger popped out of nowhere putting on a pretty good performance. I gotta say, he sounded pretty good! And just when you thought it was over, he gave an encore!

Chris Christopherson introduces Barbara Streisand to the stage who gave a warm and humble performance.

Nicki Minaj and present the grammy for The Best Rap Album.
The nominees are:

You Can Thank Me Later: Drake
Recovery: Eminem
The Blueprint 3: Jay z
How I Got Over: The Roots
And the Grammy goes to………….Recovery by Eminem!

 Puff Daddy introduces Rihanna and Drake to the stage performing Whats my Name.  Lots of fire on stage and Rihanna looks like she took some belly dancing lessons, girl knows how to move!

The 10 0’clock hour…

Couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony go front and center to award Record of the Year.
The nominees are:
B.O.B.: Nothin on You
Eminem: Love the Way You Lie
Cee Lo Green: Forget You
Jay Z: Empire State of Mind
Lady Antebellum: Need You Now
And the Grammy goes to…………………Lady Antebellum with Need You Now! They are doing great tonight, Congrats guys!

 Jason Segal showed up introducing Arcade Fire to perform. All I’ve got to say is lots of lights and yelling into the mic. But the BMX bikers were cool!

Barbara Streisand and Chris Christopherson get together once again to announce the winner of Album of the Year.
And the nominees are:
Arcade Fire: The Suburbs
Eminem: Recovery
Lady Antebellum: Need You Now
Lady Gaga: The Fame Monster
Katy Perry: Teenage dream
And the Grammy goes to…………Arcade Fire with The Suburbs. Kind of an awkward thank you speech but they were happy.

Arcade Fire wrapped up the Grammys with one final performance and it’s over. Until next year, this wraps it up for the Grammys. Hope you enjoyed =)
